Privacy Policy
Bedrock AI LLC, doing business as AnswerTide ("AnswerTide," "we," "us," or "our"), operates AnswerTide. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information in connection with our services.
Last updated 16 October 2026.
What changed on 16 October 2026: The opening now names the company that operates AnswerTide. How we collect, use, share and keep personal information did not change.
What AnswerTide is
AnswerTide builds a support agent from a business's public help pages. Demo tenants are deleted after 7 days or immediately on request. This policy applies to answertide.com, demo.answertide.com, and the embedded assistant.
Data we process
- Account data — email and password hash for dashboard users (via Supabase Auth).
- Public web content — pages we crawl from a domain you give us or that we fetch for a demo. We honor robots.txt. Crawled text is untrusted data, never instructions.
- Visitor conversations — questions asked to the widget, answers, citations, and optional email if the visitor asks for a human. No PII is collected by default. Visitor identifiers are anonymous cookies scoped to the customer's site.
- Docs Answer Audit — the URL you submit and the public pages we read from it; we read public pages only. For the AI Answer Check we send an AI model provider fixed questions that name the audited domain. No personal data is sent. To compare the model's answers with your docs, our AI service providers process those answers and passages from your public pages.
- Billing — Stripe handles cards. We store customer and subscription ids, not card numbers.
- Waitlist — the email address you give us, the page you signed up on, the site that linked you there (its address without any query string), any campaign tags in the link, and when you agreed to hear from us. We use it only to tell you about the launch of the agents you signed up for, and keep it until you ask us to remove it. To limit abuse we keep a one-way hash of your IP address for two hours, never the address itself.
Retention
Conversations are kept while the customer's workspace exists and are not deleted automatically, except as listed on Retention and deletion. Customers can export conversations from the dashboard, and we delete a workspace or a conversation on request. Demo tenants are hard-deleted at 7 days or on request. Docs Answer Audit results, including the AI Answer Check, are deleted 30 days after the audit runs.
We do not sell visitor conversations
We do not sell personal information. We do not use visitor questions to train a foundation model we do not control, beyond the inference call required to answer that question.
Google user data
AnswerTide's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Today the only Google connection in the product is Google Docs as a knowledge source, with read-only access, and it is not yet turned on for customers. Gmail and Google Calendar connections are not available yet. This section applies to every Google connection as soon as it is available, including Gmail and Google Calendar.
- What we access: only the Google data needed for the feature you connect, such as the documents you pick, the emails you ask an agent to draft replies to, or the calendar availability needed to make a booking. You see what we ask for on Google's consent screen before you allow it.
- How we use it: only to provide the features you can see and use in AnswerTide, for your own workspace.
- No advertising: we never use Google user data for advertising, including personalized ads, retargeting or interest-based ads.
- Never sold: we don't sell Google user data. We share it only with the service providers that run those features for us (listed on /subprocessors), when the law requires it, or as part of a merger or acquisition after telling you.
- No AI training: we don't use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
- People don't read it, except when you ask us to for specific items (for example, when you ask for help with a problem), when it's needed for security, such as investigating abuse, or when the law requires it.
- Disconnecting: you can disconnect a Google account in your dashboard or revoke access in your Google Account settings at any time. When you disconnect in the dashboard, we delete the access credentials we stored for it and the content we imported through it. Stored access credentials are encrypted.
Microsoft data (Microsoft Graph)
Microsoft connections, such as Outlook mail or calendar through Microsoft Graph, are not available yet. When they are, we will handle Microsoft data the same way as Google user data above:
- We access only what the feature you connect needs, and you approve it on Microsoft's consent screen first.
- We use it only to provide the features you can see and use in your workspace.
- We never use it for advertising and never sell it.
- We don't use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
- People don't read it except when you ask us to, when it's needed for security, or when the law requires it.
- You can disconnect in your dashboard or remove the app's access in your Microsoft account at any time. When you disconnect in the dashboard, we delete the access credentials we stored and the content we imported through that connection.

Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in to text messages from AnswerTide — for example by texting START, YES, or UNSTOP to (832) 402-6874 — we collect your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in consent only to send the messages you asked for. Those messages are replies, appointment and booking confirmations and reminders, missed-call text-back, and support follow-ups.
Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent, will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Service providers that deliver the messages, including Twilio, process mobile phone numbers and message content only so those messages can be sent. They are listed at /subprocessors. That processing is not a sale, and it is not sharing for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
